Join the Nest

Build a career that leaves things better.

Your work should be more than a shift, a caseload or a list of completed tasks.

At Little Blue Wren Services, we are building a team of thoughtful, capable people who want to make disability support clearer, safer and more human—particularly for people, families and communities across regional New South Wales.

We are looking for Support Workers and Support Coordinators who are ready to show up with purpose, take responsibility for the difference they make and help create better experiences for the people we support.

Why Little Blue Wren?

Little Blue Wren Services is a registered NDIS provider supporting participants, families and communities through practical, person-centred service delivery.

We understand that meaningful support is not created by paperwork alone. It is built through trust, consistency, strong communication and people who genuinely care about the quality of their work.

Our team works across regional communities where access, distance and service availability can create additional barriers. We do not accept that geography should determine the quality of support someone receives.

We are building a workplace where people are encouraged to learn, contribute, speak up and leave every situation better than they found it.

The Blue Wren Way

Our values are not simply words displayed on a wall. They guide how we support participants, communicate with families, work with colleagues and respond when something needs to improve.

Rise With Respect

We treat every person with dignity.

We listen before making assumptions, respect individual choices and communicate in a way that helps people feel heard, safe and valued.

Show Up With Purpose

We arrive prepared, present and ready to contribute.

We understand why our work matters and do not approach support as “just another shift” or “just another participant.”

Own the Outcome

We take responsibility for the quality of our work.

We follow through, communicate early and ask for help before a small issue becomes a larger one.

Strengthen What's Next

When we notice a concern, a gap or an opportunity to improve, we do not walk past it.

We raise it through the right channels, help find a solution and contribute to stronger services.

Our Mission

Our mission is to equip governments, providers and organisations to lead disability inclusion with confidence, through evidence-led education, strategy and systems that create stronger, more inclusive communities.

We do this by making disability inclusion easier to understand, stronger to lead and more practical to implement, helping leaders turn evidence, education and strategy into action that improves lives.

Every role at Little Blue Wren contributes to this mission.

For a Support Worker, that might mean helping someone participate more confidently in their community, documenting an important change or creating a calm and dependable daily routine.

For a Support Coordinator, it might mean helping a participant understand their plan, connecting services, identifying risks, strengthening evidence and making sure the right people are communicating.

Different responsibilities. One shared purpose.

Bring your skills. Bring your ideas. Bring your whole self.

Be the steady person who helps make a good day possible

Support Workers are often the people who see the things others may miss.

You may notice a change in someone’s wellbeing, support a person to try something new, help maintain an important routine or provide information that strengthens future planning.

At Little Blue Wren, Support Workers are valued as skilled frontline professionals. You are not there simply to complete tasks. You are there to provide safe, respectful and purposeful support.

Your work may include:

  • Supporting participants at home and in the community
  • Building daily living and independence skills
  • Supporting appointments, activities and community participation
  • Following individual support plans and risk strategies
  • Providing personal care where required
  • Completing clear, accurate and meaningful progress notes
  • Recognising and reporting changes, risks or concerns
  • Communicating professionally with participants, families and team members
  • Supporting participant choice, control and dignity
  • Contributing to a consistent and dependable support team

You may be a great fit when you:

  • Treat disability support as a professional responsibility
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully
  • Can write accurate progress notes in English
  • Are reliable and understand the importance of arriving on time
  • Remain calm when situations become challenging
  • Can follow plans while responding appropriately to individual needs
  • Accept feedback and actively want to improve
  • Understand professional boundaries
  • Notice important changes and report them promptly
  • Want your work to have meaning

Experience is valuable. Character matters too.

We welcome applications from experienced Support Workers and people with relevant transferable experience.

Depending on the position, you may need:

  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • A Working With Children Check where relevant
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
  • A valid driver licence
  • A reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Evidence of your right to work in Australia
  • Relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience
  • Completion of required NDIS worker training

Turn complexity into clarity

Support Coordination is more than making referrals.

It requires judgement, curiosity, accountability and the ability to bring people together around what matters to the participant.

Our Support Coordinators help participants understand and implement their plans, strengthen their support networks, identify barriers and make informed decisions about their services.

We are particularly interested in people who understand that quality documentation, proactive monitoring and strong stakeholder communication can influence a participant’s long-term outcomes.

Your work may include:

  • Helping participants understand and implement their NDIS plans
  • Supporting participants to identify and engage appropriate services
  • Building participant confidence and capacity
  • Monitoring budgets, service delivery and plan progress
  • Coordinating communication between participants, families and providers
  • Identifying service gaps, risks and emerging needs
  • Maintaining accurate case notes and participant records
  • Requesting and reviewing provider reports
  • Supporting preparation for reassessments and plan reviews
  • Escalating safeguarding, service delivery and funding concerns
  • Building effective relationships with local and regional stakeholders
  • Helping participants make informed decisions while maintaining choice and control

You may be a great fit when you:

  • Can manage competing priorities without losing sight of the person
  • Communicate confidently with participants, families and professionals
  • Write clearly, objectively and accurately
  • Understand the importance of evidence and documentation
  • Are comfortable raising concerns respectfully
  • Take ownership of deadlines and follow-through
  • Can work independently within a hybrid team
  • Ask thoughtful questions instead of making assumptions
  • Understand professional boundaries and confidentiality
  • Want to keep learning as the disability sector evolves

We welcome different levels of experience

We may consider applications from:

  • Experienced Support Coordinators
  • Disability, community service or allied health professionals
  • Experienced Support Workers ready to develop their careers
  • Emerging coordinators who demonstrate strong judgement, communication and learning potential

Training and supervision may be available depending on the position. However, every team member must be willing to take responsibility for their learning, documentation and professional practice.
